Health, Allergies and Medical Needs

We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students and staff. Please contact the Main Office regarding any allergy, medical condition, or health concern that may affect your child at school.

Food Allergies

Some members of our school community have severe allergies and may experience a serious reaction from direct contact with certain foods. To help keep everyone safe, please do not send the following foods or drinks to school:

  • Peanuts
  • Nuts
  • Tree nuts, including pistachios, walnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, and pine nuts

Please be mindful that food allergies can be severe, and even indirect contact may pose a risk for some individuals.

Scent Awareness

Please help us maintain a scent-aware school environment. Some members of our school community have significant sensitivities to fragrances and other scented products.

When entering the school, please refrain from using excessive amounts of perfume, cologne, body spray, or strongly scented lotions and other personal-care products.

Medical Conditions and Medication

It is important that the school is made aware of any medical condition that may require staff to respond quickly or provide support. This may include conditions such as anaphylactic allergies, asthma, seizures, or other significant medical needs.

If your child requires medication at school or has a medical condition requiring specific interventions, the appropriate medical and consent forms must be completed and submitted to the Main Office. Some forms require information or authorization from a physician.

On occasion, school staff may be required to administer medication to a student, including prescription medication or other medication that must be administered during the school day. Appropriate authorization forms must be completed before school personnel can administer medication.

If you have questions about medical forms, medication, or your child's health needs at school, please contact the Main Office at 613-392-5461.
