At HPEDSB, we believe that all students can learn, grow, and achieve success. We are committed to providing inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning experiences that respond to the individual strengths, needs, and abilities of each student.
Based on the Continuous Assessment Process, we believe that early intervention, proactive program planning and ongoing support are essential to maximize student achievement. A wide variety of interventions and accommodations are implemented within the regular class program as appropriate to support student needs. In specific circumstances, a system referral for a placement outside the regular classroom may be considered based on specific criteria to meet the programming needs of some exceptional learners with highly complex needs.
Our goal is to work collaboratively with students, families, classroom teachers, and support staff to ensure that each student receives the support they need to thrive at school.
