Volunteers in Our School
We value the support that volunteers provide to our school community. Volunteers may support a variety of school activities, including classroom activities, special events, and out-of-school learning excursions.
HPEDSB Procedure 498: Volunteers in Schools outlines the responsibilities and expectations for all school volunteers. The Principal is responsible for determining the school’s volunteer needs and overseeing the volunteer selection and approval process.

Individuals wishing to volunteer at PCT must:
- Complete Procedure 498 Form 1: Volunteer Application.
- Provide references as requested by the school.
- Provide an acceptable Police Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search and a search of the Pardoned Sexual Offences Database. The check must be dated within one year and identify any applicable criminal convictions or charges.
All required documentation must be received and approved before an individual can begin volunteering at the school.
